1. Scope and Focus
Impacta: Journal of Community Impact and Social Transformation is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes high-quality articles focusing on community engagement, social transformation, empowerment, and sustainable development. The journal prioritizes studies that demonstrate real social impact, participatory approaches, and transformative outcomes at local, national, or global levels.
The journal welcomes manuscripts that address, but are not limited to: - Community development and empowerment - Social innovation and social entrepreneurship - Participatory action research and community-based research - Social policy and community transformation - Education, health, environment, and economic empowerment in communities - Gender, inclusion, and social justice - Religious, cultural, and indigenous-based community transformation - Sustainable development goals (SDGs) and grassroots initiatives
2. Types of Articles
Impacta accepts the following types of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles
Empirical studies using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods that demonstrate measurable community impact.
- Community Engagement Reports
Systematic documentation and analysis of community service, empowerment programs, or social interventions with reflective evaluation.
- Conceptual and Theoretical Articles
Critical or integrative analyses offering new perspectives, frameworks, or models for social transformation and community impact.
- Case Studies
In-depth analysis of specific community programs, policies, or interventions with transferable lessons.
- Policy and Practice Reviews
Analytical reviews of policies or best practices related to community development and social change.
3. Manuscript Originality and Ethics
· Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by other journals.
· All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software. The similarity index must not exceed 20%, excluding references and common phrases.
· Research involving human participants must adhere to ethical standards and include informed consent where applicable.
· Authors are required to disclose any potential conflict of interest.
4. Language and Writing Style
· Manuscripts may be written in English (preferred) or Bahasa Indonesia.
· Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to use professional language editing services prior to submission.
· The writing style should be clear, concise, academic, and reflective of social impact.

Title
· Concise, informative, and reflective of community impact and transformation.
· Maximum 20 words.
· Avoid abbreviations and overly technical terms.
Author(s) Information
· Full name(s) without academic titles.
· Institutional affiliation(s), country.
· Corresponding author email.
· ORCID ID is strongly recommended.
Abstract
· Length: 150–250 words.
· Written in one paragraph.
· Should clearly state:
o Background and problem
o Purpose of the study/program
o Methods or approach
o Key findings or outcomes
o Main impact and implications
Keywords
· 3–5 keywords.
· Arranged alphabetically.
· Avoid repeating words already used in the title.
5.6 Introduction
The introduction should: - Present the background and context of the study or community program. - Clearly state the problem and its social relevance. - Highlight gaps in existing studies or practices. - Define the objectives and significance of the manuscript.
Methodology
This section must clearly explain: - Research or engagement design (qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, participatory action research, etc.). - Location, participants, and stakeholders involved. - Data collection techniques. - Data analysis methods. - Ethical considerations.
For community engagement reports, authors should emphasize participatory processes and community involvement.
Results and Discussion
· Present findings systematically and logically.
· Integrate discussion with relevant theories, previous studies, and practical implications.
· Highlight measurable social impact, changes, or transformations within the community.
· Avoid repetition between tables/figures and text.
Conclusion and Implications
· Summarize key findings concisely.
· Emphasize contributions to community impact and social transformation.
· Provide practical, policy, or theoretical implications.
· Suggest directions for future research or community programs.
6. Formatting Guidelines
· Manuscript length: 6,000–8,000 words (including references).
· Paper size: A4.
· Font: Cambria, 12 pt.
· Spacing: 1.5 lines.
· Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
· Tables and figures must be numbered and titled clearly.
7. Citation and References
· Impacta uses the APA Style (7th Edition).
· All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
· Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero).
· At least 60% of references should be from peer-reviewed journals published within the last 10 years.
8. Peer Review Process
· Impacta applies a double-blind peer review system.
· Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
· Editorial decisions include: accepted, minor revision, major revision, or rejected.
9. Publication Frequency
Impacta is published biannually (Januari and Juli).
10. Open Access Policy
Impacta provides immediate open access to its content, promoting the free exchange of knowledge for global community development and social transformation.
